Privacy for Backgammon
Backgammon does not collect a signup. The lines under each heading describe data this game actually keeps.
On this device
Backgammon writes a local scoreboard into this browser, and it also keeps the checkers still on the points in an unfinished local game, as well as the difficulty picked for the computer. Results of online matches never join that scoreboard. If you undo a completed computer game, that one result can come off the list. Clearing stored data for this site takes those records out of the browser.
While an online match is open, the browser holds an anonymous token so reloading can ask the server to resume it. Clearing site data erases the token from the browser only. It leaves the server row in place. Do not hand that token to anyone.
On the game server
Matchmaking runs on Supabase. What it stores is a nameless player record, people waiting, the two seats, where the checkers sit, and the moves both browsers need for one shared game. A player record expires after thirty days. An active game stops when ten minutes pass with no move. Asking the server for updates does not lengthen that limit. Finished match rows are not removed automatically at the end of play.
The Backgammon queue is public and used by anyone waiting. An invitation link will not set up a private table, nor will it match you to whoever sent that link. When nobody is waiting, this page gives up after about ten seconds and starts a local game against the computer.
Hosting and fonts
These files sit on Vercel as a static site. Matches are served by Supabase. Adobe Fonts delivers the typeface. Each of those hosts can observe routine connection details, such as an IP address, when a page, a match, or a font is sent.
Advertising
These Backgammon pages are not loading a Google ad script, and no ad unit is added by this change. On their own, a site-owner verification meta tag, the ads.txt file, and a blank box captioned as an ad do not fetch an advertisement. Should Google advertising be enabled afterward, Google and its partners may place third-party cookies, or similar identifiers, to measure ads and to limit fraud. Google describes that practice under how Google uses advertising cookies and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Questions
Write warmeve.label@gmail.com if you have a question. Mention Backgammon and which site you mean. Do not put the online token or a password in the mail. This site publishes neither a phone number nor a street address. Nothing typed on the contact page is uploaded.
